Another one of the local air show me and my parents have attended many times over the years. Like most of the air shows I attend these days, I am not a participator instead of a spectator.

March Air Reserve Base Air Show

A two day event, this years March Air Reserve Base air show was host to about 300,000 people. Not as big as many of the shows held on air bases but always a great show to attend and at this air show you get to see the “Big Planes”. As a cadet of the Inland Empire, Commemorative Air Force, I spent my time, at the air show, working our PX, selling and helping customers any way I could.

The photo above is of the original March Air Field control tower. Although it is not used as a control tower these days, it has been restored, to preserve the history of the early air field, and now houses administrative offices.
